Split payments are supported within customer Wallet. If customer Wallet is activated and the balance is above zero, its balance is used to partially cover trip payments.

Customer Wallet split payment preconditions:

  1. customer Wallet balance is positive

  2. non-Wallet payment method is pre-selected when booking a trip

Customer Wallet split payment logic:

  1. customer Wallet is charged for the whole sum available on balance

  2. the customer is asked to cover the rest of the trip cost as per the pre-selected payment method

Split payment screen on driver and customer apps displays:

  • the amount paid by Wallet

  • the remaining amount to be paid via another payment method:

Final status split payment screen in driver app:

Customer Wallet split payment with failed card charges/CVV request:

In case card is selected as a payment method on a Wallet split payment trip and the charge on the card fails/or CVV request is triggered by the payment gateway:

  1. the Wallet part is still billed

  2. the customer is asked to choose another card to cover the pending card payment

  3. alternatively, the customer is allowed to pay in cash/terminal (when available for the service type). In this case the driver selects ‘Paid with cash/via terminal” on the payment confirmation screen in his app.

Should a driver select “No funds” at the end of the trip for a Wallet split payment trip, Wallet part of the payment is still charged. This is to fight possible driver fraud.

Cancellation fee charge for Wallet split payment trips:

When a customer cancels a Wallet split payment trip and a cancellation fee applies the following scenarios are possible:

  1. with pre-selected cash/terminal payment method, Wallet balance is charged with the cancellation fee and accumulates a debt

  2. with pre-selected card payment method when a CVV request is triggered by the payment gateway, Wallet balance is charged with the cancellation fee and accumulates a debt

  3. with pre-selected card payment method when no CVV is required the cancellation fee is charged on the card.

Cancellation fee charge for non-split payment trips:

In case a customer cancels a trip with Wallet payment method, and a cancellation fee applies, Wallet balance is charged with the cancellation fee and accumulates a debt.

If customer Wallet is not activated and a cancellation fee applies it is charged on the default credit card.

If customer Wallet is not activated, a cancellation fee applies and no card is added in payment method, the cancellation fee is not charged at all.
