“You can earn more” feature offers a driver who tries to go offline during peak hours to stay online and get a chance to make more money.
This feature helps a company motivate drivers to stay online during rush hours.
This way more customer service requests are processed, drivers’ earnings increase and the company gets it all: happy customers/drivers and more revenue!
The feature is configured for each company and enabled on request.
The system tracks the peak hours for a company (with order demand coefficient 1,5) and calculates the average driver earnings within those peak hours for the last 7 days.
The peak hours within the company’s timezone are added to config, e.g. 8am - 9am, 6pm - 7pm, etc. Subsequent peak hours, e.g 8am - 9am and 9am- 10am, are added as periods - 8am - 10am.
The average driver earnings for each peak hour/period is added to the config and is calculated based on average driver earnings on all the services of the company.
The peak hours and average driver earnings parameters are dynamic. The statistics on drivers are calculated daily at midnight. Based on these statistics the peak hours and average earnings data is updated on a regular basis.
If a driver tries to go offline within a peak hour period and the time till the end of the peak hour period equals or is more than 1 hour, the app will generate a screen “It is rush hour until…! If you go offline now, you can miss earning up to…”
If the driver selects “Stays online” the screen closes and is not generated if the driver attempts to go offline a second time.
Every time a driver goes online again, the counter restarts and the screen will be generated within the first attempt to go offline.
A company can also track the efficiency of the feature via following events of their Google Analytics:
Driver_RushHour_PopupShown - is triggered when the screen "You can earn more…” is generated.
Driver_RushHour_StayTap - is triggered when a driver selects ‘Stay online’ on the “You can earn more…” screen.
Driver_RushHour_GoOffTap - is triggered when a driver selects ‘Go offline’ on the “You can earn more…” screen.
